The development of our globs continue to explore the effects of lighting, with thanks to the generous support provided by Prolux Lighting.







22. the structure

As our project heads towards fabrication, the design of the supporting structure takes focus. Essentially a series of four 2m square units, with the capability of being assembled and disassembled on exhibition night.

21. the big glob.

The testing of a large scale 'glob', at 1:1, approximately 5m long. The form work consists of 3 layers: an inner air-filled tube, a paste filled tube, and of course an outer size-filled tube. The drawstring and pleating techniques are continued, as well as the introduction of veins to the interior and exterior of the form work.

An enlargement of our previous 1:1 detail, experimenting with how the form and wallpaper size sits with this height.
